Private Mountain Bike Lessons and Coaching Sessions

Private Lessons

We offer lessons for the whole family, just the kids, just the gals, date night, or any other setup you may have. We provide instruction for as young as 5 years of age to 99 years of age. These lessons are private instruction with a ton of fun, keeping your comfort level in mind. All private lessons are taught by experienced, certified mountain bike instructors with a depth of experience in the outdoors, road biking, cyclocross and mountain biking. All instructors carry up to date CPR, First Aid, SAFESPORT certifications.

We love to do privates! Please email us at info@youthcycleproject.org for rates and times. All lessons are at Bradbury Mountain State Park in Pownal, Maine.

If you need a bike let us know and we can check our stock of rental bikes for your lesson.

Coaching Sessions: Advanced Skill level – Downhill and Enduro

We offer coaching for a variety of skill levels and ages. Depending on the requirements and goals of the coaching which individuals or small groups are interested in, we have a few different coaches with different specialties.

Morgan, who many of our campers may know from coaching in past years has many years of coaching experience with camp groups and individuals specializing in downhill and enduro focused riding techniques. Depending on the goals of the riders and time availability, we have a variety of locations which can be suitable for coaching including, but not limited to Blackstrap Preserve, and Mount Abram Bike Park.

Those who are interested in lessons or coaching for groups and individuals should inquire directly by email (morgan@youthcycleproject.org). Upon email, phone consultation can be arranged in order to establish goals to determine if coaching would be a suitable option for you!

Testimonials

“The instructors are fabulous and very patient. They built my confidence, and in only 1 day, I was riding over obstacles that I didn’t think I ever could. I had never truly mountain-biked before, and now I’m hooked! -Lori (mom)

It was really fun, and it helped me learn to bike better. I liked the “whoop-dee-do” part because it challenged me to be better.”
